Lausanne to Boston

Jan, 12 2012
LausanneToBoston.com is a student blog by students coming from EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne) in Lausanne, Switzerland to study in Boston, USA for a semester or more. For the site I created a mascot character and design motif inspired by mid-century science-based cartoon imagery.

Hot Studio Mobile Site

Jun, 24 2011
Based on templates provided by Hot Studio's engineering team, I implemented the Drupal-based mobile site to compliment their desktop site. My goal was to enhance the existing Drupal installation to accommodate mobile content by reusing the structure in place, introducing as few new data elements as possible. The end result is a shared database with both a mobile and desktop theme which makes life easy for content editors.

UCSF Nursing

Apr, 24 2011
What I did:
Working with the in-house engineers at Hot Studio, I supported the development of UCSF Nursing Wordpress site. A website about patient care delivery, leadership and staff, specialty programs, and affiliation with the School of Nursing.

Hot Studio Company Website

Mar, 24 2011
What I did:
Hot Studio is a leading experience design company with offices in San Francisco and New York. In 2011 I supported the in-house team in completing the ambitious Drupal-based site. I worked closely with a Hot Studio producer and was responsible for the daily upkeep, quality assurance and code refactoring tasks based on feedback from stakeholders.

Croscill Living

Nov, 03 2010
What I did:

Having little control over how they manage content on their site Croscill Living needed to rethink their content management strategy. I set out to enable access to all key areas of the site including rotating promotions on the homepage, blog, how-to documents, product galleries and persistent elements like footer, header and navigation. Now they have control and can enjoy doing what they do best without worrying about obstacles. Take a look.

TorreyCommerce.com

Oct, 20 2010

TorreyCommerce develops and manages sophisticated retail websites. They hired me to revitalize their identity and web presence. The staff at TorreyCommerce are intelligent and fun folks but their prior branding didn't reflect that. It was my goal to accentuate the personality of the people who make up the company.

SwimOk.com

Aug, 05 2010
What I did:
Working with the director of SwimOk.com I tweaked Particle System for a simple but effective example of how powerful HTML5 canvas can be.

The San Diego Architectural Foundation has a lot on their plate. They are constantly hosting events, major architectural awards shows and design programs. They also have a lot to say. To satiate their eager web-publishing needs I outfitted the them with a brand-new website featuring a major visual redesign, blog, event calendar and even a web store to help promote the wonderful books they publish.

The redesign features rotating photographic headers that highlight local architectural landmarks:
